Controller ($72,000 - $88,000) ​ Job description Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in driving the financial strategy of the organization and will work closely with senior management to support decision-making processes. Duties WCB reporting AP/AR EHT, PST, GST and Payroll Tax Remittances Internal monthly reconciliations Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee budgeting processes and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Internal monthly reconciliations Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing. Lead payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation. Utilize accounting software such QuickBooks for financial reporting and analysis. Prepare detailed reports on financial performance for management review. Experience 5+ years in a role with similar responsibilities Strong knowledge of budgeting, account reconciliation, account analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. Proficiency with QuickBooks is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
