Project Manager / Forestry Field Supervisor
As a Project Manager / Forestry Technician Field Supervisor, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations in the field. This will include scheduling, supply management, and logistical requirements. You will lead a team of forestry technicians and work together with contractors to ensure project milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and according to environmental guidelines.

Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of forestry projects. Ensure projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget.

Lead and manage teams in conducting fieldwork such as conventional and helicopter cut block layout, planting, brushing and other various tasks that may arise in the field.

Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to field staff. Promote safety, teamwork, and quality in all field operations.

Communicate with supervisors and stakeholders to provide updates, manage expectations, and ensure project satisfaction.

Ensure all work complies with Safe Work Procedures, Regulations and environmental protection laws and policies as required. Promote a safety-first culture across all field operations.

Oversee data collection for fieldwork and complete reports as required. Must complete all block packaging and field mapping, or be able to delegate to proper team members.

Coordinate the allocation of resources (personnel, equipment, materials) and ensure efficiency and productivity in field operations.
Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

5 years of experience in forestry or natural resource management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Proven experience in managing forestry projects, including project planning, execution, and reporting.

Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, RoadEng, Enfor.

Strong knowledge of forest management practices, regulations, and environmental standards.

Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct staff.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
-
First aid and CPR certification is an asset.

Valid driver’s license.


Compensation -
$95,000-110,000 Annually
